Race against time: does faster skull repair boost brain recovery?

Summary

This study aims to find out if repairing a person's skull sooner after major brain surgery leads to better recovery of brain function. It will compare doing the repair within 6 weeks to the standard approach of waiting 3 to 6 months. Researchers will measure recovery, quality of life, and complication rates in about 580 participants.
