Can a simple text message prevent months of post-surgery pain?

Summary
This study looks at whether finding and treating persistent pain just 3 months after surgery can prevent it from becoming chronic. About 2,000 people having common surgeries like hernia repair or knee arthroscopy will be tracked. Half will get early treatment at 3 months, the other half at 6 months (standard care). The goal is to see if early action reduces the number of people still in pain at 6 months.
