New stepwise strategy tested to help young minds at risk of psychosis
NCT ID NCT02751632
Summary
This study tested a step-by-step treatment plan for young people (ages 12-25) at high risk of developing a psychotic disorder. The goal was to see if starting with simpler support and adding more intensive therapies only if needed could improve daily functioning and reduce the risk of psychosis. Over 340 participants received different combinations of talk therapy, case management, and sometimes medication, based on their response at each step.
