Scientists search for early warning signs in eyes and ears before psychosis develops

NCT ID NCT07446569

Summary

This research study aims to understand how vision and hearing processing might differ in young adults who are at risk for developing psychosis. Researchers will compare three groups: healthy volunteers, people showing early warning signs, and those experiencing their first psychotic episode. By measuring how participants see contrasts, recognize emotions, and process sounds, the study hopes to find biological markers that could help identify at-risk individuals earlier.
