Can eye tests predict psychosis? new study investigates sensory clues

NCT ID NCT07446569

First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at how people with early signs of psychosis process what they see and hear. Researchers will compare three groups: those at high risk, those who have had a first psychotic episode, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to find out if unusual sensory processing can help identify who might develop psychosis. Participants will complete computer tasks and eye tests, but no treatment is given.
