Summary
This study tests whether screening patients for pain via simple text messages at 3 months after surgery, followed by early treatment, can prevent pain from becoming a long-term problem. It will involve 2,052 patients who had common surgeries like hernia repair, knee surgery, or breast procedures. The goal is to see if catching and managing pain early works better than the current standard of waiting until 6 months.
