First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether training health workers and actively reaching out to smokers and heavy drinkers aged 35+ can increase the number of people who get a simple mouth exam to catch oral cancer early. Over 1,100 participants from Rio de Janeiro were split into groups to compare different outreach methods. The goal was to see which approach works best for getting high-risk individuals screened.
