Summary
This study tested whether giving babies an extra measles vaccine at 4 months old, in addition to the standard shot at 9 months, could lower their risk of dying before age 3. Researchers enrolled over 3,700 children in rural Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau. The goal was to see if early vaccination provides extra protection beyond just preventing measles.
