NCT ID NCT03574909

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looked at whether taking low-dose aspirin early in pregnancy (first trimester) can reduce serious problems like preeclampsia, early preterm birth, low birth weight, or infant death in women with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The trial included 137 women with a single baby and diabetes for at least 6 months before pregnancy. Women already on aspirin or with certain health issues were not included. The goal is to find a simple, safe way to improve pregnancy outcomes in this high-risk group.
