Striking first: new trial attacks leukemia before it strikes back

Summary
This trial is testing whether giving a targeted drug called venetoclax early can control high-risk chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in patients who have the disease but no major symptoms yet. The study involves 82 adults with specific high-risk features in their early-stage CLL. The main goal is to see if this preemptive treatment leads to a deep response, measured by very low levels of remaining cancer cells after one year.
