Simple calls and online groups may keep eating disorder patients from falling through the cracks

NCT ID NCT07411807

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated Apr 27, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether offering early phone calls and online support groups to adults with eating disorders (like anorexia or bulimia) can reduce the number of people who drop out before starting specialized care. About 215 adults from the Paris region who request treatment will receive these simple, remote supports during the waiting period. The goal is to see if this low-cost approach helps more people actually begin treatment and avoid worsening of their condition.
