First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at whether starting to eat and move around earlier after lung surgery helps patients recover better. 232 adults having planned chest surgery were split into two groups: one got a new care plan focused on early feeding and activity, while the other got standard care. The goal was to see if the new approach improved recovery quality, reduced complications, and shortened hospital stays.
