Race against time: new procedure tested for deadly lung clots
NCT ID NCT06672081
Summary
This study is testing whether adding an early catheter-based procedure to standard medical care improves survival for people with severe, life-threatening lung clots (pulmonary embolism). It will compare outcomes between patients who receive the early procedure plus standard care and those who receive standard care alone. The goal is to see if this more aggressive approach can better control this dangerous condition and prevent death or cardiac arrest in the first week.
