Zapping the ear to tune the heart? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07501611

Summary

This study aims to understand if a non-invasive device that gently stimulates a nerve in the ear can cause short-term changes in heart rate, blood pressure, and the body's automatic nervous system. Researchers will test 20 healthy young adults, comparing real stimulation to fake (sham) sessions. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about how this stimulation works in healthy people before testing it in those with heart disease risk.
