Can a zap to the ear help heal a bleeding brain?

NCT ID NCT04557618

Summary

This study is testing if a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of a nerve in the ear can help people recover from a serious brain bleed. It aims to see if this stimulation lowers harmful inflammation in the body and brain fluid, which might prevent complications and lead to better recovery. Researchers will compare the stimulation to a sham (fake) treatment in 50 patients and track their health for up to two years.
