Zapping the ear to calm a racing heart: new hope for POTS patients
NCT ID NCT07163130
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of a nerve in the ear can help control the rapid heart rate and other symptoms of Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). It will involve 24 adult patients with POTS in Greece, who will try both the real stimulation and a sham (fake) treatment to see if it makes a difference. The main goal is to see if this approach reduces the excessive heart rate increase that happens when patients stand up.
