Zapping the ear to calm racing hearts

NCT ID NCT02281097

Summary

This study is testing whether gentle electrical stimulation of a nerve through the skin of the ear can help people with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). POTS causes a rapid heart rate and disabling symptoms like dizziness and fatigue when standing. Researchers want to see if this non-invasive stimulation can improve heart rate control and reduce symptoms during upright posture.
