Ear zaps target mystery pelvic pain in men
NCT ID NCT06287970
Summary
This study is testing whether a gentle, non-invasive stimulation of a nerve in the ear can help reduce pain and improve quality of life for men with moderate to severe chronic prostatitis or pelvic pain syndrome. It will compare the real stimulation to a fake (sham) treatment in 68 participants over 4 weeks, with follow-up for 8 more weeks. The main goal is to see if this approach safely reduces pain, urinary symptoms, and the anxiety often linked to this chronic condition.
