Simple ear rub tested as natural sleep aid for trauma survivors
NCT ID NCT06990789
Summary
This study tested whether teaching women to give themselves a gentle ear massage could improve their sleep after experiencing the stress of an earthquake. Researchers worked with 60 women who reported poor sleep, training them in the technique and tracking their sleep quality for two weeks using questionnaires and a wearable fitness band. The goal was to see if this safe, drug-free method could help ease sleep problems linked to trauma.
