Needles in ears to numb thumb pain?
NCT ID NCT07336303
Summary
This study is testing whether a form of ear acupuncture called auriculotherapy can help reduce pain after outpatient surgery for thumb arthritis. Researchers will compare real ear acupuncture to a fake (sham) version in 60 patients to see if it lowers pain scores and anxiety in the days following surgery. The goal is to see if this complementary approach could become a standard part of pain management after this common procedure.
