Magnetic ear patches tested for Post-Birth pain relief

NCT ID NCT07277478

Summary

This study tested whether special magnetic beads placed on the ear could help reduce pain for women after a common childbirth procedure called an episiotomy. 86 new mothers were randomly given either real magnetic ear patches or look-alike patches without magnets for 48 hours after delivery. Researchers measured their pain levels and how the pain affected daily activities to see if the acupressure treatment made a difference.
