Gentle ear touch tested to soothe kids waking from surgery

NCT ID NCT07472764

Summary

This study is testing if a gentle, non-drug technique called auricular (ear) acupressure can help reduce agitation and distress when young children wake up from anesthesia after adenoid removal surgery. It will involve 110 children aged 3 to 6 years. Researchers will compare outcomes between children who receive the acupressure and those who do not to see if it eases their recovery.
