Can a protein boost speed up recovery from back surgery?
NCT ID NCT07341399
Summary
This study is testing whether taking essential amino acid (EAA) supplements before and after spinal deformity surgery helps patients recover better. Researchers want to see if these supplements help build muscle, improve strength, and help people walk more easily after their operation. The study will compare the supplements to a placebo in a small group of adults scheduled for surgery.
