First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested a program to help young American Indian and gay/bisexual men in rural Oklahoma prevent HIV. The program encouraged HIV and syphilis testing, condom use, and use of PrEP (a daily pill that prevents HIV). Researchers worked with community advisors to make the program easy to use and acceptable. The goal was to see if the program could increase testing and prevention behaviors in a high-need area.
