New drug trial offers hope for Tough-to-Treat blood cancers

NCT ID NCT07139873

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental drug called DZD8586 works better than standard treatments at controlling cancer growth in adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma that has returned or stopped responding to prior therapy. About 250 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either DZD8586 or a treatment chosen by their doctor. The main goal is to see which option keeps the cancer from progressing longer.
