New drug combo trial offers hope for blood cancer patients

Summary
This study is testing whether adding the experimental drug DZD8586 to treatment helps control chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. Researchers will enroll 66 adults with newly diagnosed or untreated forms of these blood cancers. The trial has two parts: first checking safety, then measuring how long patients live without their cancer getting worse.
