New questionnaire aims to track throat discomfort in thyroid patients

Summary
This study aims to create a reliable questionnaire to measure swallowing difficulties and throat discomfort in people with goiter or who have had their thyroid removed (thyroidectomy). Researchers will interview patients to develop the questions, then test the questionnaire before and after surgery. The study also looks at the psychological impact and surgical scar appearance. About 420 participants will be involved.
