Scientists probe link between period pain and hip stiffness
NCT ID NCT07209566
Summary
This study aims to understand how women with painful periods (dysmenorrhea) experience changes in hip mobility and nervous system activity when exposed to internal pain, compared to women with mild or no menstrual pain. Researchers will measure hip range of motion, strength, and heart rate variability before and after a controlled pain stimulus. The goal is to learn more about how the body's internal pain sensing system interacts with muscle function.
