New drug trial aims to tame painful, heavy periods from fibroids
NCT ID NCT07319520
Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called DW4902 to see if it could control symptoms of uterine fibroids, mainly heavy menstrual bleeding. It involved 71 premenopausal women who were randomly assigned to receive either the real drug or a placebo for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in bleeding, pain, fibroid size, and anemia to see if the treatment was effective and safe.
