Vacuum device trial aims to suck out deadly leg clots

NCT ID NCT07102160

Summary

This study is testing a medical vacuum device called the Cleaner Vac® Thrombectomy System to remove dangerous blood clots from deep leg veins. Researchers will enroll 185 adults with recent, symptomatic deep vein thrombosis (DVT) to see how well the device removes clots and how safe the procedure is. The goal is to prevent serious complications like post-thrombotic syndrome and reduce pain while restoring blood flow.
