Could a common prostate drug make surgery safer?

NCT ID NCT07417449

Summary

This study looks back at medical records to see if men who took dutasteride for at least six months before a specific prostate surgery (HoLEP) had different outcomes. Researchers will compare two groups: those who took the drug long-term and those who did not. The goal is to understand if the drug affects surgical bleeding, operation time, and how efficiently prostate tissue is removed.
