First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study examines whether taking dutasteride for at least 6 months before HoLEP surgery (a laser procedure for enlarged prostate) reduces bleeding or changes operation time. Researchers will compare medical records of 1,000 men who either took the drug long-term or did not. The goal is to help surgeons plan better based on a patient's medication history.
