Ultrasound watch after leg surgery could save limbs

NCT ID NCT06702306

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding regular ultrasound scans of the leg arteries after keyhole surgery helps doctors find and treat new blockages early. About 70 adults with chronic limb-threatening ischemia will be split into two groups: one gets standard follow-up visits, the other gets extra ultrasound scans before each visit. The goal is to see if the scans are practical and if they lead to more timely treatments, potentially saving limbs.
