Fat grafting may keep Dupuytren's contracture at bay
NCT ID NCT05067764
First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a fat graft from the patient's own arm to standard hand surgery can lower the chance of Dupuytren's disease returning within two years. About 172 adults with moderate Dupuytren's who have not had prior surgery will be randomly assigned to surgery alone or surgery plus fat grafting. The main goal is to see if the fat graft reduces the rate of finger contracture recurrence.
