New injection tested for rare stomach disease

NCT ID NCT03678545

Summary

This study tested whether dupilumab, an injectable medication, could reduce harmful inflammation in the stomachs of people with eosinophilic gastritis. Forty-one participants aged 12-70 received either the drug or a placebo injection every two weeks for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug lowered the number of specific inflammatory cells in the stomach lining compared to the placebo.
