New hope for kids with uncontrollable hives

NCT ID NCT05526521

Summary

This study tested the drug dupilumab in children aged 2 to 12 with chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU), a condition causing long-lasting, itchy hives. The goal was to see how the drug behaves in the body and check its safety in children whose hives were not controlled by standard allergy medications. Fifteen children received the drug for 24 weeks, and researchers measured drug levels, side effects, and changes in hives and quality of life.
