NCT ID NCT07238218

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at two ways of combining thinking tasks with physical exercise in 164 older adults living in the community. One group did tasks where the thinking part was separate from the movement, like solving math while stepping. The other group did tasks where thinking was built into the movement, like memorizing a path while walking. Researchers measured changes in memory, attention, physical mobility, and daily living skills to see which approach worked better.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward better exercise programs that improve both thinking and physical abilities in older adults.
