NCT ID NCT07494357
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This pilot study tests a new rehab program for people recovering from a stroke. The program combines walking exercises with mental tasks, like counting backwards or stepping over obstacles. Researchers want to see if it's safe, doable, and helps improve walking in real-world situations. 36 participants will train 3 times a week for 4 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Dual Task-Oriented Circuit Training (DTOCT) - a behavioral rehabilitation program combining walking exercises with cognitive tasks
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a practical rehab program to help stroke survivors walk safely in real-world settings while multitasking.
What could go wrong
This is a very small pilot study (36 people) testing feasibility, not effectiveness. It may not show clear benefits, and results may not apply to all stroke patients.
