Double punch: CAR-T cells followed by antibodies may boost lymphoma remission

NCT ID NCT04889716

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether giving additional antibody drugs (mosunetuzumab or glofitamab plus obinutuzumab) after CAR-T cell therapy can improve outcomes for people with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma. About 23 participants will receive the combination to see if it leads to complete remission at 24 weeks. The goal is to target cancer cells more effectively without increasing serious side effects.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

mosunetuzumab, glofitamab, obinutuzumab

What this could lead to

If successful, this approach could help more people with hard-to-treat lymphoma achieve long-term remission after CAR-T therapy.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-phase trial (23 participants) testing safety and effectiveness. Side effects like cytokine release syndrome are possible, and results may not apply to all patients.
