First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study compares two types of hip implants used in revision hip replacement surgery: a dual mobility cup and a standard single bearing cup with a large head. The goal is to see if the dual mobility design lowers the chance of the hip dislocating in the first year after surgery. About 322 adults who need a revision hip replacement will take part. Results will help surgeons choose the best implant to improve stability and reduce complications.
