Double hardware approach aims to fix tricky wrist breaks

NCT ID NCT07440251

Summary

This study is testing a new surgical technique for difficult-to-treat fractures of the small bone in the wrist (ulna). Doctors are combining two types of metal hardware—a flexible nail inside the bone and a small plate on the outside—to create a stronger repair. The goal is to see if this dual method helps bones heal better and allows patients to move their wrist sooner after surgery.
