ER doctors test new timing for heart attack drugs to reduce bleeding risks

NCT ID NCT07039149

Summary

This study looks at whether giving two blood-thinning medications together in the emergency room is safe and effective for people having a heart attack. Researchers will review the medical records of 200 patients to see if this earlier timing leads to fewer serious bleeding events or major heart problems compared to the standard approach of giving the second drug later. The goal is to find the best treatment strategy for patients in the Middle East, who often have different risk factors than Western populations.
