New laser technique could make glaucoma treatment easier
NCT ID NCT06925477
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study compares two laser treatments for open-angle glaucoma: the standard Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) and a newer, automated Direct Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (DSLT). About 51 adults with glaucoma or high eye pressure will receive one of the two treatments and be followed for 12 months. The goal is to see if the simpler DSLT procedure works as well as SLT at lowering eye pressure, which could make treatment more comfortable and accessible.
