First seen Dec 09, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests if dry needling (inserting thin needles into tight muscles) can reduce spasticity and improve walking in stroke survivors. 28 adults with stroke-related leg stiffness will receive either real or sham needling over 4 weeks. Researchers will measure muscle activity and structure using ultrasound and electrical sensors to see if the treatment provides objective benefits.
