Needle depth tested for chronic muscle pain relief

NCT ID NCT06546124

Summary

This study aimed to see if one dry needling technique works better than another for treating chronic muscle pain in the neck and shoulder area. Researchers compared a superficial technique with a deeper technique, both guided by ultrasound imaging, in 80 adults with myofascial pain syndrome. They measured changes in pain, neck movement, and how the pain affected daily life.
