Needles and massage tested to ease pain after knee surgery

NCT ID NCT03506685

Summary

This study aimed to see if adding dry needling (a technique using thin needles) and soft tissue massage to standard physical therapy could better manage pain and reduce painkiller use after ACL reconstruction surgery. It planned to compare these treatments in adults recovering from surgery, measuring pain, function, and knee movement over several weeks. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
