Can therapists hit the mark? study tests needle accuracy for elbow pain

NCT ID NCT07042997

Summary

This study aims to see how accurately a physical therapist can place a dry needle into specific forearm muscles to treat tennis elbow, without using an ultrasound to guide them. Researchers will enroll 40 adults with persistent elbow pain and use ultrasound imaging to check if the needle was placed in the correct muscle. The goal is to gather knowledge about the reliability of this common hands-on treatment technique.
