Needles vs. therapy: the battle for jaw pain relief
NCT ID NCT07123883
Summary
This study tested whether a single session of dry needling (inserting thin needles into tight jaw muscles) works better than standard physical therapy for quickly reducing jaw pain. It involved 40 adults with chronic jaw muscle pain and stiffness. Researchers compared the two treatments by measuring participants' pain levels and muscle activity right after the session.
