New injection offers hope for chronic dry mouth sufferers

Summary

This study tests whether injecting hyaluronic acid into the mouth can relieve dry mouth symptoms in adults who have had xerostomia for at least a year. Forty participants will receive either the active treatment or a placebo and be followed for six months. The goal is to see if the treatment improves comfort and saliva flow, and how long any benefits last.
