NCT ID NCT01684852
Summary
This study compared a new eye drop containing a natural substance called ectoin against standard hyaluronic acid drops for treating dry eye symptoms. 64 adults with mild to moderate dry eye used one type of drop six times daily for 28 days. Researchers measured which treatment better improved tear film stability and was more comfortable for patients.
